Professional Learning Communities have been the talk of schools for a few years now. As educators our job is to reflect, so where are we now? When it comes time to assess performance of our students we simply give an assessment or assign a type of performance. We give the students a rubric or other form of grading guidelines and wait for the results to pour in. Now we must grade ourselves. How is our PLC performing? Do we have a set of grading guidelines or rubric? Let’s get back to this. First we will review some examples of PLC talk.
